Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota, journalist, author, anchor of CNN's morning show "New Day," as well as a Westport, CT resident, has been elected to the trustee board at Westport Country Playhouse. Camerota, who has been an journalist for 30 years, reported on news events worldwide and across the country. She received the Emmy Award in her early professional career for reporting on the arrest for Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award when she broke the devastating news of the hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford has been named as an honorary board participant after being on the board since the past seven months. Anna Czekaj Farber, who serves as the current chair of the Westport board, having been as a board member since 2013, also an incoming board member. Czekaj Farber will replace Barbara Streicker from Westport who has served as the chair during the last year, and continued in the position since 2006.
