Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died on the 19th of January in 2008. She was an American film voice actor, TV host and voice actor. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and appeared in films in the late 1950s. Later, she was prominent in film roles like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Later, she was in several television productions and was frequently an actor in guest roles. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 through 1978 in which she earned several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 in 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer, and choreographer who worked under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
